Tsukemen (つけ麺, dipping noodle) is similar to Ramen but the noodle and soup are in separate bowls which you dip and eat like soba. Compared with Ramen, the noodle is thicker and the soup is also thicker. It’s so popular food like Ramen in Japan.
There are a million of Tsukemen bar in Tokyo and all over Japan and I’ve tried so many of them in my life including the most popular one like Tomita (とみ田) and Rokurinsha (六厘舎).
Then, Nin-Pachi (忍八) is definitely the best.
This bar is located on the backstreet in Hanamatsu-cho. Outlook is little bit shabby, which the tourist and foreigner never intend to enter lol
This bar is operated by one couple. The madam is so smily and polite. The chef guy is also smily but wordless.
Again, their Tsukemen is definitely No.1 in the World.
The noodle contains whole-grain and nicely thick. The specialty of the soup is mackerel and tomato. The rich flavor of the mackerel and a bit of tomato's sour taste makes the soup deeper and fantastic.
After I introduced this bar to my colleagues, they often use here for 2nd party.
This bar serve a la carte not only Tsukemen for drinkers too. Dumpling, Char Siu, Bamboo Shoots, Stir-Fried Bean Sprout and Ground pork etc... Every dish is ideal for drinking their Lemmon sour.
We always have gathering and drinking on 2nd floor. Sometime, the young monks of Zojoji temple (増上寺) also gathering there lol
I strongly recommend Nin-Pachi (忍八) as a No. 1 Tsukemen in the World (not Japan, but World !) to all you guys, foreigners and tourists.
